RAMON MARTINEZ, BASEBALL AGENT
Martinez joins MDR Sports Management after spending over a decade in the Major Leagues as an infielder for the San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs, Detroit Tigers, Philadelphia Phillies, Los Angeles Dodgers, and New York Mets. He attended Vernon Junior College in Vernon, Texas. After such an extensive big league career, Martinez brings a wealth of knowledge and personal experience to MDR Sports Management. He works closely with the clients for contract matters, equipment deals, and other client maintenance issues.
NELSON PADRO, BASEBALL AGENT
Padro has been connected to the baseball community for over 15 years in the U.S. and Latin American countries. Padro attended the Central University of Bayamon, Hill College, and San Jose City College while playing baseball. Recruiting and client maintenance are Padro’s main areas of focus.
ERICO ROSARIO, MANAGER OF DOMINICAN REPUBLIC OPERATIONS
Rosario has been heavily involved in Dominican Republic baseball for many years. He was an amateur player in the Dominican Republic and recently served as Administrator of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball complex in the Dominican Republic from 2007–2009. He attended the Technological University of Santiago (UTESA) where he studied marketing. Rosario is responsible for client maintenance and recruiting for MDR Sports Management Dominican Republic operation.
JOEL ZARAGOZA, BASEBALL AGENT
Zaragoza comes to MDR Sports Management after having played professional and college baseball. He signed with the New York Mets in 1999 and spent four years in the organization. He attended Northwest Shoals Community College in Muscle Shoals, Alabama and Bethune Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida. After retirement due to injury, Zaragoza joined the MDR Sports Management team where he is responsible for recruiting, draft work, and client maintenance.
MACKENZIE GOLDSTEIN GARNER, CLIENT SERVICES COORDINATOR
Goldstein Garner has ten years of experience in the sports management industry and has served as Client Services Coordinator for MDR Sports Management for six years. She provides the athletes with support for all daily Concierge Client Services needs while also facilitating equipment, appearances, signings and memorabilia deals. Goldstein Garner also serves as Administrative Supervisor for MDR Sports Management. She is a graduate of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
OSVEL CRUZ, OFFICE MANAGER
Cruz has served as Office Manager of MDR Sports Management’s main office in Puerto Rico for four years. She is responsible for a variety of administrative duties with her main focus on accounting and bookkeeping. She is also currently working on her BA in Environmental Engineering at the Polytechnic University in Puerto Rico.
CARLOS DOMINGUEZ, ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
Dominguez is a native of La Guaira, Venezuela and came to the United States in 2008 to play Division I baseball at Campbell University where he also studied Sports Management and Business Administration. He began his career in the front office of the Miami Marlins where he attended MLB Scout School. Dominguez spent two seasons as a free agent scout with the Marlins. From there he moved on to work for the Milwaukee Brewers as an East Coast scout, and then provided minor and major league scouting coverage, as well as special international assignment work for the Brewers. Dominguez is responsible for recruiting, client maintenance, and the continued expansion of MDR’s international presence.
JORGE “MACHO” MIRANDA, ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
Miranda joins the MDR Sports team motivated by the attentive representation service given to the company’s clients. He is a graduate of Northwest Shoals Community College in Alabama, where he studied Physical Education. Miranda played collegiate baseball in the United States and he also played AA in Puerto Rico. With over 16 years of experience in MLB player representation, his main focus of responsibility is in recruitment for MDR Sports.
